Under her skin describe the use of Norplant. a new long-acting contraceptive, in Indonesia, Finland, Thailand , Brazil and Egypt. A review of international acceptability studies is also included. Norplant consists of six hormone- releasing rods implanted under the skin of a woman's arm and is effective for five years. minor surgery is needed for insertion and removal.
